Artificial marble is an obvious coloured concrete strengthened with polyester fibres that come out in a lot of colours and designs.

Artificial marble was constructed by the compaction of slivers of marbles and concrete adhesive material in big volumes, their treatment was the same with the one used for natural marble. Today resins, filler material and colouring substances are used for manufacturing.

Artificial marble is produced in blocks and has a better uniformity then natural marble. It’s used exactly like natural marble in the paving of floorings and lining of walls, in the paving of exterior, in the lining of fireplaces and other uses. Its use is also very wide in bathroom and kitchen counters.

Artificial marble is used in archaeology, in statue and monument maintenance. Artificial marble has been used for the construction of the cast of the west frieze of the Parthenon.
